A Minnesota Republican who called Muslims “parasites” resigned as chairman of the Big Stone County Republican party.
Jack Whitley told the Associated Press on Friday that he was asked to resign from his position by GOP board members. Minnesota Republican Party Chairman Keith Downey had previously condemned Whitley’s comments.
Whitley cam under fire last week for Facebook posts about Muslims.
“They are muslims, they are terrorist (sic), we know where they are from, we know where their buddies are, we know where thier mosque’s (sic) are, we know millions of these parasites travel to Mecca every year and when…FRAG ‘EM!” he wrote in a Facebook post.
He refused to apologize and said that Muslims in the U.S. “either need to repent except (sic) Jesus Chist or leave the country.”
Before Whitley resigned from his post in the Republican Party, he was fired from his job at Hardware Hank.

Choices have consequences.
“Before Whitley resigned from his post in the Republican Party, he was fired from his job at Hardware Hank.”
There goes his big job!
I guess thing’s will be bleak on the home front this Christmas! No job, no year-in bonus, no unemployment check’s and the lifetime disgrace that goes with being fired from 'Hardware Hank!" That has to be the most humiliating of all!
Jeesh! All the man did was say outloud what the party quietly espouses.
That requires the assumption that the man has the ability to feel humiliation…
Jack, you’re about to learn a good bit about what sort of safety net we have in this country, or don’t have, for people who lose their jobs. This may be useful information in future political activities. It all depends on how fast a learner you are and how capable you are of revising your opinions. Good luck and one piece of advice—spell check will not keep you from making an ass of yourself. Get someone who paid attention in English class to look over your future communications.
