Hillary Clinton’s newly-minted running mate has received some rare bipartisan support from his fellow senators.

In a Tweet on Friday, Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) said he had no bones to pick with Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA), praising him as a “good man and a good friend.”

Sen. Pat Toomey (R-PA), who is running in a hotly-contested reelection race, released a statement on Friday knocking Clinton but saying he respected her choice for VP.

“While Hillary Clinton would be a disaster as president, I have high regard and respect for Tim Kaine,” he said. “He is a good choice for the Democratic ticket.”

Toomey said that the two have worked together in the past on issues like opioid addiction and supporting first responders, according to the Reading Eagle.

Kaine, who is considered a moderate, will be formally introduced as Clinton’s running mate at a rally in Miami on Saturday.
