GOP Senator: Universal Background Checks ‘A Reasonable Step Forward’ (VIDEO)

Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV) on Tuesday called universal background checks “a reasonable step forward” and said he thinks there is enough support in Congress to take action on the issue. 

Appearing on CNN’s “Starting Point,” Heller said he thinks there is a consensus on Capitol Hill to pass a bill on universal background checks. 

“I think it’s a reasonable step forward,” Heller said.
