A pair of GOP chairman from two states that play a significant role in the presidential nomination process signed off on the Republican National Committee’s ultimatum issued on Monday to NBC and CNN to drop their planned productions on Hillary Clinton or risk losing partnerships for the party’s 2016 presidential debates.

South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Matt Moore released a statement decrying the “political favortism” displayed by the two networks. The Palmetto State has served as the host first GOP primary in the South since 1980.

“I say, ‘Not in South Carolina!’ to debates produced by networks that act more like Hillary Clinton’s campaign team than unbiased news sources,” Moore said. “Such political favoritism has no place in American journalism. It’s unacceptable, and those networks have no business hosting Presidential debates in South Carolina unless they stop production.”

Iowa GOP Chairman AJ Spiker, whose state hosts the first caucus that kicks off the presidential nomination contest, offered his endorsement of the RNC’s demand on Twitter.
