Google co-founder Sergey Brin, apparently inspired by Willy Wonka, took over the company’s keynote speech at its developers conference Thursday to preside over an insanely elaborate series of stunts meant to demonstrate the capabilities of Google’s Glass, the name of prototype hi-tech glasses, which can take videos and stream live video.
A team of stunt performers wearing the glasses streamed live video from a small camera as they parachuted on top the Moscone Center where Google’s I/O developers conference was taking place, then handed the glasses over to BMX bikers, who flipped off a ramp on the roof of the center, then rappeled down the side and ran into the conference center.
