Over 400 million Google Android mobile devices have been activated worldwide, up from 100 million at this time last year, according to Hugo Barra, Android director of product management at Google’s I/O conference in San Francisco on Thursday.
Barra said that 1 million Android devices were being activated per day, or about 12 per second, and that developing countries were enormous growth areas for the company.
