Gingrich’s New Site: Deer And PETA Support Elmer Fudd-like Romney

The Gingrich campaign is continuing to throw whatever it can at his hated nemesis Mitt Romney. The newest one is a Web site going after Romney’s past support of gun control in his earlier, moderate incarnation — and his statement in 2007, when he was moving to the right, that he had in the past hunted “small varmints.”

The Gingrich campaign tweeted this message Tuesday:

Mitt Romney: Avid hunter of “small varmints” and proud supporter of gun control. Watch the video & RT: romneyguns.com

And not only that, but the site features a photoshopped image of Romney in an Elmer Fudd-style hunting cap. It also includes images such as these declaring that deer, quail, the animal-rights group PETA, and — gasp — moderates are supporting Romney.
