On Meet the Press Sunday, Newt Gingrich offered a concise piece of advice to Maryland’s Democratic Gov. Martin O’Malley on a potential presidential run: “Raise a lot of money,” he said.

Gingrich and O’Malley appeared together Sunday, where host David Gregory asked the former speaker to lend O’Malley — who is thought to be considering a run in 2016 — a little advice.

Gingrich said he has no regrets and that it was an amazing experience. “Callista says she learned two big things,” Gingrich said, returning again to the subject of money. “People are overwhelmingly nice even if they don’t agree with you. And money matters. Those are her two lessons.”
