Mike Huckabee is hosting a Republican candidate forum tonight on Fox News, featuring Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich, in a format of separate consecutive interviews. (Ron Paul declined the invitation.)

First up in the randomly drawn order is Newt Gingrich, who has been discussing his campaign promise of bringing gasoline prices down to $2.50 through increased oil exploration.

Gingrich actually said that he thought his policies get bring prices even lower than $2.50, but that it was a good target to have while keeping in mind the fluctuations of the market: “It was $1.13 when I was Speaker. It was $1.89 when Obama was sworn in.”
