Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) has entered the House chamber for the State of the Union address, to great applause from all sides of the political divide. She smiled and waved to the House as she went to her seat with the Arizona delegation.

Giffords, who survived after she was shot in the head at a district event a year ago, is resigning from the House in order to focus on her recovery.
