The New York Times reports that a recent Israeil air strike killed a Gaza militant, Ghaleb Armilat, believed to be partially responsible for a series of attacks along the Israeli-Egyptian border earlier this week. The strike — which also injured another militant, Mohammed Rashdan, also believed to be responsible for the earlier attack — represents the third day of cross-border clashes.

Hamas has continued to fire rockets into southern Israel, in break from their year-long cease-fire. The rockets are apparent retaliation for a series of Israeli air strikes that have killed at least six Palestinians since Monday.
