The tea party group FreedomWorks is pushing Rep. Raúl Labrador (R-ID) for House Majority Leader.

The group is asking supporters to tell members of Congress to vote for Labrador in the upcoming majority leader election.

In a short interview with The Washington Post on Thursday night the Idaho Republican said he was thinking of running for the post.

“It’s not something that I’ve been planning,” Labrador said. Labrador also said that other members of Congress were urging him to run.

So they think they need to show a Hispanic face in their ‘leadership’? Does that mean they want to go forward with immigration reform?

  2. The Tea Party, willing to help any Latino.

As long as that Latino believes Hispanics shouldn’t vote, corporations shouldn’t pay taxes, and there should be unlimited religion in politics (as long as that religion is a gay-hating, a-priest-owns-your-vagina form of Christianity). Or as the Tea Party calls them, the ‘right’ kind of Latino.

  3. lol, good one MyMy. No, immigration reform still won’t happen, but the Tea Party can now pretend to say that they are ‘supporting the Hispanic community’ while continuing to hurt them at every turn.

  4. Hey he’s got a ú in his name, that’s some outreach right there!
