In a post on Facebook, the Rev. Franklin Graham said he would arrive in Oregon on Thursday morning and head to the federal wildlife refuge where the four remaining occupiers are reportedly set to turn themselves in to federal authorities.
Graham wrote that he had been on the phone with the occupiers each night for the past week and that he was on the phone with them on Wednesday night as the FBI closed in on the refuge.
“I have been talking with the last four holdouts in the #Oregonstandoff at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge every day by phone for the last week at their request and at the request of the FBI,” Graham wrote. “Last night I was on the phone with them for several hours, was able to have prayer with them, and they have said they would come out today.”
The reverend wrote that he planned on arriving in Oregon by 7:00 a.m. PT.
Sean Anderson, one of the remaining occupiers at the refuge, wrote that he would turn himself in to federal authorities if he was escorted by Graham and Nevada state lawmaker Michele Fiore.
Fiore, who has been an active supporter of the Bundys for a while, was also on the phone with the remaining militiamen on Wednesday night. She told the occupiers that she was willing to travel to the refuge and meet with federal authorities, according to Oregon Public Broadcasting.
What charges are pending against him?
I’ve never quite understood how Billy Graham acquired his eminence, but his son seems determined to tarnish the Graham name.
Live feed of the surrender up and running
It’ll be a veritable bigot brigade once this simpleton shows up.
Can they arrest him too?
