Fox News distanced itself from anchor Gregg Jarrett, who was briefly jailed Wednesday after an incident at a Minneapolis airport bar.
“We were made aware late last night that Gregg Jarrett was arrested in Minneapolis yesterday and charged with a misdemeanor,” a Fox News spokesperson told TVNewser. “He is dealing with serious personal issues at this time. A date at which Gregg might return to air has yet to be determined.”
Police said Jarrett seemed intoxicated and was acting belligerent Wednesday afternoon at a bar in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport. He was booked at Hennepin County Jail for allegedly obstructing the legal process and released on bond early Thursday morning.
TVNewser reported earlier this month that Jarrett had requested time off from the network for personal reasons. Fox News’ statement on his arrest leaves his return to the network up in the air.

If only Jarrett had been grazing cattle on Federal land instead of his torrid down low romance with Amy Klobuchar…
Serious personal problems like being arrested at an airport in the middle of the day for being drunk and disorderly?
Those ‘problems’ boil down to he couldn’t remember the foot-tapping code in the bathroom.
Good luck recovering from alcoholism. Recovery is possible.
However, that nasty black Fox stain on your soul will require some scrubbing.
Personal reason:
'I wanted to go out to the airport bar and get drunk."
