Former Illinois Gov. George Ryan Becomes Free Man

Former Illinois Gov. George Ryan became a free man on Wednesday, after signing papers ending his home confinement, according to The Chicago Tribune

Ryan was released from a federal prison in late January, and allowed to serve the remainder of his 6 1/2 year sentence under house arrest.
