Ahead of an expected grand jury decision in the fatal shooting of unarmed black Ferguson teen Michael Brown, Attorney General Eric Holder urged protestors to demonstrate peacefully.
“I ask all those who seek to lend their voice to important causes and discussions and who seek to elevate these vital conversations to do so in a way that respects the gravity of their subject matter,” he said in a video released Friday.
Holder also urged local law enforcement agencies to “minimize needless confrontation.” To that end, he announced new guidance for law enforcement officers tasked with maintaining order and public safety during mass protests.
Watch below:
Mr. Holder…please tell that to the cops.
I really believe the people of Ferguson will prove all the folks who fear violence will be proven wrong and the people of Ferguson have a once in a lifetime chance to make Mr Brown more than just a police act gone wrong.Maybe I will be proven wrong,I hope not.
The Teabaggers snapped into action, immediately scheduling a vote to repeal Obamacare and MSNBC hurredlt apologized for something.
