Eric Hartsburg became a pioneer in the realm of presidential nominee promotions when he got the logo for Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign emblazoned on his face.

However, the Indiana man with a now-faded tattoo said he would not support Romney in 2016 and was in the process of removing the tattoo, BuzzFeed News reported on Tuesday.

“He’s going to say something later on to mess it up,” Hartsburg said of Romney. “You are waiting for him to shoot himself in the foot. It’s going to look real good and then — bam something else — he screws it up.”

Hartsburg told BuzzFeed that he’d first learned about Romney’s 2016 presidential aspirations on Monday and had thought “maybe there is something in it for me.”

That’s probably because Hartsburg was paid $15,000 by an anonymous Republican eBay user to get the facial tattoo, ABC News reported.

Hartsburg told BuzzFeed that the space was up for grabs as he was willing to sell the space once again. Although he mentioned Marco Rubio, Chris Christie, and Hillary Clinton, he told BuzzFeed News that he was “wide open” to any takers for the facial real-estate.

  1. I have to say it…flame me for it if you want…but it seems to me the R quite clearly stands for Retard, yes, retard with a capital R.

  3. Why, oh why, can’t there be a Republican candidate named “Schmuck?”

  4. Maybe he could just remove the tail from the R and turn it into a P for Perry.
