Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) new official title in the Senate Democratic leadership is Strategic Policy Advisor to the Democratic Policy Communications Committee but her unofficial is “liberal liaison” and she’s not too crazy about that.
“I don’t quite understand it, Warren told The Huffington Post. Warren said that her new leadership role didn’t just mean speaking on behalf of the liberal wing of the Democratic Party.
“Harry [Reid] asked me to be a strategic policy advisor, because that’s what I talk about, I talk about policy — college affordability and minimum wage and Social Security,” Warren said. “And that’s what I’m supposed to do and that’s what I will do. That’s my portfolio.”
well - “liberal liaison”
…does sound a bit like a very casual affair with a French author.
Such a darkly comical testament to the regulatory capture of the liberal party that it needs a liaison to its disaffected liberal base-slash-designated internal advocate of liberal policy.
I’d like to know who tossed the “liberal liaison” label out.
She was picked for the new position of Strategic Policy Advisor because she clearly knows how to light up and motivate people, something dynastic Democrats have long since forgotten.
from what I have seen and heard of the so called dems that have run from every thing they have accomplished and hide and denied the president at ever turn to get elected I wouldnt want to have anything to do with them or the DCCC either screw those cowards and their lack of the courage of there party and convictions…screw’em all they deserved what they got and they left us high and dry for leadership
“Elizabeth Warren Isn’t Crazy About People Calling Her A Liberal.”
Remember pre-Reagan, when college affordability, good-paying jobs, and retirement security were mainstream, Middle America, kitchen-table topics – instead of “liberal” ideas?
Sigh.
