Economy Added 175,000 Jobs In May; Unemployment Rate Largely Unchanged

The Bureau of Labor Statistics announced Friday that the nonfarm payroll employment increased by 175,000 in the month of May, while the unemployment rate remained largely unchanged at 7.6 percent. The unemployment rate was 7.5 percent in last month’s jobs report.
