The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee set a new fundraising record for the first quarter of 2012, the committee announced Thursday. The DSCC brought in a total of $17.7 million. So far this election cycle, the DSCC has brought in $70 million and has $24 million cash on hand and no debt. In March, the DSCC brought in $7.4 million. According to the latest data available with the FEC, Democratic Senate campaigns across the country have an estimated $30 million more on hand than Republicans. Democrats had more than an estimated $121.8 million on hand for Senate campaigns versus an estimated $91.5 million for Republicans as of the end of March.
