The DSCC is jumping on the Obama campaign’s strategy of attacking Romney for fundraising alongside Donald Trump. In an upcoming press release, the DSCC points out that Nevada Sen. Dean Heller, who was appointed in 2011 to replace Sen. John Ensign and is running for a full term this year against Nevada Rep. Shelley Berkley, introduced Trump just hours after the real estate mogul raised more questions about President Obama’s birth certificate on Tuesday, calling Trump “bullish on America.”

“It’s outrageous that Dean Heller would lend his credibility and actually praise Donald Trump just hours after he launched vicious, gutterball attack against the President,” Matt Canter, spokesman for the DSCC, says in the release.

The release includes both Trump’s comments on CNN and Heller’s praise:

1:10 pm PT — Donald Trump on CNN: “A lot of people don’t agree with that birth certificate … A lot of people do not think it was an authentic certificate. Many people don’t think its authentic. Now you won’t report it, Wolf. His mother was not in the hospital. There were many other things that came out. ”

Then:

7:10 pm PT — Dean Heller on Donald Trump: “I’ve got the hardest job of the evening and that’s to introduce someone who needs no introduction. Our first guest speaker is not a guest because he knows this place, unlike the current administration. Our speaker is bullish on America. Our speaker is bullish on Nevada. And our speaker is bullish on Las Vegas.”
