Television personality Dr. Phil said on Monday during an interview on “The View” that there’s “nothing creepy” happening when Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump jokes about dating his own daughter.
Trump most recently called his daughter, Ivanka, a “beauty” in an interview with Rolling Stone.
“Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father …” he said in the interview.
He had also said, among other comments about her appearance, that Ivanka had “the best body.”
The co-hosts of ABC’s “The View” discussed with guest Phil McGraw why Trump says the things he does.
“Well, you know, he doesn’t have an edit button, he doesn’t have a muzzle,” McGraw said. “I’ve known Donald for a long time. I know Ivanka. I’ve been around the two of them together. There’s really nothing creepy going on there.”
“Right now, he’s just talking and he doesn’t have the ability to really have any consequences to what he says,” McGraw added.
