Fox News contributor and veteran newsman Geraldo Rivera complained on Friday that New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has not yet opted to meet with Donald Trump.
“Doesn’t that say a lot, that the mayor hasn’t met the biggest, most important developer in town?” Rivera told the New York Post on Friday. “I think the big picture is, the mayor exists in his own little bubble. He has to expand his world if he wants to represent the entire city.”
Trump reportedly mentioned the fact on Rivera’s radio show.
“Donald seemed perplexed by it, and not a little bit hurt,” Rivera told the Post. “I offered to bring them together.”
Reached in Palm Springs, Trump told the Post that he is holding out hope that the mayor reaches out.
“I’ve never met him but I look forward to meeting him someday,” the mogul said.
