Real estate mogul Donald Trump may be the Republican presidential frontrunner, but he’s got nothing on Pope Francis.

A crowd awaiting the pontiff’s motorcade Thursday afternoon outside Trump Tower in New York City booed Trump when he stepped out onto a balcony overlooking Fifth Avenue and waved, according to the New York Daily News.

Republican presidential candidate, businessman Donald Trump, left, waves alongside his son Eric Trump on Fifth Avenue as they wait to see Pope Francis’ motorcade as it travels to St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

The newspaper noted that many people in the crowd were Hispanic and chanted “Feo! Feo!,” Spanish for “ugly,” when they glimpsed Trump. The billionaire’s disparaging comments about immigrants crossing the U.S. border with Mexico have dogged his relations with Hispanic voters.
