Donald Trump is expected to call for immigrants to undergo an ideological test to enter the country during a Monday campaign event in Ohio.

Trump is also expected to declare an end to nation building if he is elected in favor of “foreign policy realism” with an openness to forging coalitions with any country that has a shared interested in destroying “radical Islamic terrorism,” the Associated Press reported.

“Mr. Trump’s speech will explain that while we can’t choose our friends, we must always recognize our enemies,” Trump policy adviser Stephen Miller said.

The real estate mogul’s proposed ideological admissions test would assess a prospective immigrant’s opinions on topics like religious freedom, gender equality, and gay rights. Admission would be granted using the test, combing through social media, and interviews with family and friends to conclude whether applicants support American values, AP reported.

Trump is also expected to call for an explicit declaration, as in the Cold War, that the country is locked in ideological conflict with radical Islam.

The policy plans appear to be the latest incarnation of Trump’s blanket Muslim ban, which the GOP has gradually backed away from in recent months after the proposal was roundly criticized by members of both parties.
