ABC “This Week” host George Stephanopoulos pressed Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump on Sunday to concede that he would save millions of dollars under his proposed tax plan.

Trump unveiled his tax plan last week, during which he said that the plan would cost him a fortune. The plan would eliminate income taxes for many Americans and lower them for the highest-income earners.

Stephanopoulos asked Trump Sunday about the plan’s specifics, and noted that he would actually save millions of dollars.

“Everybody’s going to save, according to my plan. And you know where that money’s going?” Trump said.

“You’re not going to be paying more taxes though,” Stephanopoulos said.

Trump said that the money would go back “into other things.”

“You’re going to get a tax cut,” Stephanopoulos stated.

“I don’t know because I have very big deductions that are frankly some of them are ridiculous,” Trump said. “You’re entitled to deductions, so I don’t know that I am.”

“But not 605 million dollars worth,” the ABC host interjected.

Trump refuted that he would save any money under the proposed plan.

“I think that probably I’ll end up paying more under this, to be honest, I don’t think I’m going to,” Trump said. “If you look at all of the kinds of deductions that people are allowed to take, that you’re not going to be taking anymore including carried interest that’s just one of them, I think I probably don’t do as well.”

Back-and-forth banter persisted until Stephanopoulos said, “Bottom line — you do accept that you are going to make out well under your tax plan.”

Trump held firm.

“I don’t know I mean if the economy is good, if the economy is great, everybody makes out well,” he said.
