Former Clippers owner Donald Sterling plans to sue the NBA for $1 billion.

That’s according to both NBC and CBS.

Sterling plans to file the lawsuit Friday afternoon. The lawsuit follows former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer agreeing to a deal to buy the Clippers for $2 billion. Sterling was forced to sell the team after he was recorded saying he didn’t want his girlfriend to bring black people to his games. That deal was negotiated with Sterling’s wife, Shelly who was given authority to sell the team.
