A Franciscana dolphin—one of the smallest types of dolphins in the world—died last week after it was manhandled to shore and paraded around for a massive selfie, according to multiple media reports.
Vida Silvestre, the local chapter of the World Wildlife Fund, reported Thursday that tourists in Santa Teresita, Argentina brought the dolphin ashore and passed it around. (Gizmodo has a video that shows the dead mammal on the beach.)
Vida Silvestre says the endangered mammals have a low chance of recovery in that kind of situation. The small dolphins cannot survive for long periods outside the water in comparison to their larger counterparts, according to the group.

Fuck you, human race.
I’ve been sick about this all day.
The earth is dying from soulless human infestation…
Humans are one of the few species that kill for other reasons than food. And we are preternaturally selfish. This is not a good combination.
Some shepherds we are, eh?
