PHILADELPHIA — The primetime programming of Wednesday’s Democratic National Convention was disrupted by coordinated delegate protests from the floor.

A group of California delegates wearing red T-shirts stood up during Admiral John Hutson’s remarks and began chanting “Trump” and “Let her in.” They were quickly drowned out by other California delegates who chanted “Hillary.” It wasn’t immediately clear what the “Let her in” was a reference to.

Later, while former Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta was delivering his speech, delegates from the Oregon delegation — many wearing green shirts — rose to chant “no more war.” The chant began to spread throughout the hall, but was also met with chants of “USA.”

Later in the evening, protests also broke out during VP nominee Tim Kaine’s speech. The chants were difficult to make out, as they were quickly drowned out by cheers from Kaine supporters. Throughout his speech, delegates held up anti-Trans Pacific Partnership signs. Kaine has a track record of supporting trade agreements and originally supported the TPP but now says he opposes the trade deal that was a flashpoint in the Democratic primary race between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
