Rather than criticize President Obama for appearing on Zach Galifinakis’ show “Between Two Ferns” to promote Obamacare, Dinesh D’Souza decided to parody it.

D’Souza, a conservative political commentator currently fighting campaign fraud charges, used the parody to promote his new documentary, “America.”

In the video, D’Souza takes Galifinakis’s seat and begins by calling Vladimir Putin the “leader of the free world,” proceeding with questions on former IRS official Lois Lerner. When Obama mentions pardoning a turkey for Thanksgiving, D’Souza alludes to the charges he faces and suggests a pardon for himself.

“Well, if you’re going to be handing out pardons…” he says.

D’Souza then directly mocks Obama.

“What’s it like to have a golf game that sucks as bad as your presidency?” he asks.

The conservative commentator also contends that his spoof is funnier than the original interview.

“Obama decided to try his hand at satire by going on that show, so we decided to play along,” he told the Hollywood Reporter. “I believe that we have produced something that is funnier than the original.”
