Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), not expected to face a serious challenge for re-election this year, is easily winning early returns in the state’s “jungle primary,” which includes everyone on the ballot from all parties with the top two advancing to the general election. The field has no other political heavyweights and a host of fringe candidates, including birther activist Orly Taitz. But with 11 percent counted, the second-place slot is held by likely the most mainstream of the GOP candidates, autism activist Elizabeth Emken.
