Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) told reporters Wednesday that the attacks in Brussels seemed like they were “targeted towards Americans,” The Hill reported.
“From my vantage point, it does look like an attack on Americans,” said Nunes, who chairs the House Intelligence Committee. “It looks like it was targeted towards Americans to some degree.”
At least 30 people were killed and more than 200 were injured in the attacks at the city’s airport and a metro station. The Islamic State has since taken credit for the attacks.
Nunes said his conclusion was based on where the attacks took place: near stands for U.S. airlines United, American and Delta at the airport, and at a metro station located about a mile from the U.S. Embassy, according to The Hill.
“With all that said, if you’re going to pick some locations where you might hit Americans, those would be the locations,” Nunes said.
I’m sure he’s right. After all, look at all the U.S. travel companies that, for years, have been touting the joys of a vacation that includes riding the Brussels subway.
What a dolt.
No doubt Nunes believes that the world revolves around America.
Yes, this is all about us. We should be sure to inform the world of that. It’s all about us.
Oh, wait, we’ve already been doing that for a hundred years or so. Never mind.
A$$hole GOP-er stoking Americans’ Know-Nothing paranoia b/c he thinks his party will somehow gain. I wish I understand how they think this kind of fear-mongering makes them seem “tough”–because they sound like pants-wetting cowards.
Funnily enough these locations in Brussels were not attacked: Pizza Hut (19 locations); McDonalds (5 locations); Hard Rock Cafe (1 location); Kentucky Fried Chicken (4 locations); Best Western (3 locations); Marriott (3 locations); Sheraton (3 locations); Apple (1 location).
Stupid, stupid terrorists don’t even know the places the real Americans hang out in Brussels.
