  1. Its just the Good Guy With a Gun getting rid of some extra ammo.

    Nothing to see here.

Hey, Josh! Von Clownstick is giving a speech about trade in Pennsylvania and Wall-E did the backdrop!

Has anyone seen any of Trump’s supporters?

  3. Seems to be your abundantly familiar murder-suicide, nothing to see here, move along folks. I know a guy who killed himself just weeks ago over a divorce. To his great credit he only killed himself, like I said. But it might have been even more to his credit if he’d stayed alive to be a father to his children. If he hadn’t had guns maybe that would have given him pause and he could have ridden it out. But the freedom to bear arms, surely that’s worth all this death.

  4. Having guns and ammo at one’s disposal when one is depressed is dangerous. I admit that, in the distant past, when I was in horrible migraine pain for years with little end in sight after many and varied attempts to alleviate the conditions causing it (including surgical), if I’d had a gun, I wouldn’t be here right now. I know this man you’re speaking of was going through divorce and that’s a whole nuther kind of pain, but the one experiencing the pain can’t distinguish that at the time. I have no idea what today’s person’s issue is, but taking others is obviously wrong.

  5. I’m sympathetic to the pain. (Caveat: We obviously still don’t know exactly what happened in Denver.) It’s just that guns enable you to kill yourself and others so very much more easily than any other way. A momentary impulse and it’s done. A drunken fight, a late night when the thoughts are momentarily so dark they blot out any hope—and bang. Lives gone, and many others wrecked even if they’re not ended. Once in my own apartment building a guy was fighting with his girlfriend and fired a wild shot from a rifle into the wall. They were thick, plaster walls or maybe I wouldn’t be here myself.
