Lt. Kimerbly Schneider with the Capitol Police told TPM that the money "appeared to be real" but she could not say with certainty.
The three were charged with "Crowding, Obstructing & Incommoding" and are currently being processed.
The Washington Examiner's Charlie Spiering witnessed the demonstration and tweeted details (including a pair of videos posted below) about the demonstration, which he said was led by individuals protesting agribusiness giant Monsanto. It is unclear which group was behind the protest.
