House Majority PAC, a Democratic backed super PAC, is attacking Arizona Republican candidate Jesse Kelly for calling Gabrielle Giffords, the district of whom Kelly is running for, a “hero of nothing.” Kelly made the comment five months before Giffords was shot.
“And now she stands there with that smile and pretends to be some type of hometown hero,” Kelly says in the video. “She’s a hero of nothing.”
The super PAC will spend six figures to air the 30-second spot in Arizona ahead of the June 12 special election, reports the Hill.
