Defense Secretary Nominee Hagel Made More Than $1 Million Last Year

Financial disclosure documents filed with the Office of Government Ethics showed that former Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE), President Obama’s nominee for defense secretary, made more than $1 million last year, serving in various corporate posts and teaching at Georgetown University. Hagel made $100,000 as a professor at Georgetown. He also made $120,000 as a senior advisor for the Gallup polling firm, according to the documents.
