The DCCC is hitting incumbent House Republicans for their support of extending all the Bush tax cuts, including for the wealthiest Americans, in a series of targeted online ads.

Addressed to millionaires, the ads employ a tongue-and-cheek tone in which a narrator promises that Republicans are looking out for rich Americans.

Good news! Republicans want to cut your taxes,” the narrator says. “Not you—YOU! And you deserve a tax break—after all, these things are expensive.” Images of a jet and yacht appear on the screen. “So Republicans want to give you, the millionaire, another tax break—all while charging seniors $6,000 more for Medicare! This guy? Her? They don’t need it. They’ll just buy groceries and pay the mortgage.”

The Senate voted last week to extend only the cuts on everyone’s first $250,000 in income. This week, the Republican-majority House is expected to pass a full extension of the tax cuts. The ads begin today in the districts of 23 House Republicans targeted by the DCCC.
