In a bizarre moment during a town hall meeting on Monday in Londonderry, New Hampshire, a man identified as the New Hampshire political director for Sen. Rand Paul’s (R-KY) presidential campaign stuck his tongue out and licked a camera being operated by a tracker for a liberal group.
The man in the video was David Chesley, according to Preston Maddock, a spokesperson for the liberal group American Bridge.
The group also released a second video in which Chesley appeared to argue with American Bridge staffers shortly before the event got underway, identifying himself as political director and saying that he would prefer they did not attend the event.
Paul named Chesley as his New Hampshire director in March.
Paul’s campaign did not immediately respond to a request from TPM for comment on Monday.
Later on Monday, Rand Paul spokesman Sergio Gor refused to address the camera licking in a statement to Politico, saying that Paul was in New Hampshire to accept endorsements and meet voters.
“It was a great day of events,” Gor told the site.

OK. Rand totally has my vote now.
The spirit of Aqua Buddha works in mysterious ways.
Using tongue is a definite no-no on a casual pre-coffee meetup like this.
Eh, Rand has to deep-throat a corndog Bachmann-style at the Iowa State Fair before I’ll throw in with him.
Bizarre weird shit that pathologically weird people think is funny flying out of a Paul presidential campaign like flying monkeys out of WW O’W’s castle? Inconceivable.
