The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for areas of Kansas and residents of Wichita have been asked to take shelter as a large Tornado reaches the city late Saturday night. KSN News in Wichita has live updates as the tornado hits the city. From the National Weather Service:
A LARGE CONFIRMED TORNADO WAS LOCATED NEAR HUDSON…AND MOVING NORTHEAST AT 60 MPH.
HAZARD…DAMAGING TORNADO AND BASEBALL SIZE HAIL.
SOURCE…RADAR CONFIRMED TORNADO.
IMPACT…SIGNIFICANT HOUSE AND BUILDING DAMAGE POSSIBLE. MOBILE HOMES COMPLETELY DESTROYED IF HIT. SOME TREES UPROOTED OR SNAPPED. VEHICLES WILL LIKELY BE THROWN BY TORNADIC WINDS.
