Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) on Sunday criticized the way the Obama administration has handled the influx of undocumented minors at the southern border.

“With all due respect to the administration, they are one step behind,” he said on CNN’s “State of the Union.” “They should have seen this coming a long time ago.”

Cuellar said that President Obama should have anticipated the increase of migrants from Central America, which would have helped him address the issue more quickly.

“He’s still one step behind. They knew this was happening a year ago,” he said. “They’re not reacting fast enough.”

Thanks Cuellar. You’re so very helpful.

Was he asked if he “saw this coming” and what was his, the state legislature, and his state’s leadership response. Texas is a state’s rights community. Why did Texas not step up and ask for assistance on this particular issue, rather than their normal "border is broken " claptrap. Easy to complain…being part of the solution causes many to fade into the background for fear of losing their “seat” and that guvmint check.

  3. About time that people start to address this problem. The flow of illegals must be stopped. We need to change this law. There is no need for a hearing. Put them on buses, drop them in the Mexican desert.

  4. Does he think Michelle should have been in the kitchen cooking up brownies for them? What exactly should Obama have been doing given the 100’s of national and world problems he faces each day? Obama added more Border Control agents in his budgets back a couple of years ago. Should Obama have taken over local schools and churches as places to house and shelter and feed them?

A typical politician trying to appeal to his area constituents.

I think there’s a few thousand acres of empty federal land around the Bundy ranch in Nevada, that would work out well, right?

  5. One thing I noticed; the Sunday shows are saturated with members of the Republican party; from has-been losers (Romney, Fiona), current media whores (McCain, Graham) to people that were wrong about everything (Cheney, Kristol).
On the off-chance a Democrat is on, they use it as an opportunity to slam Obama.
I don’t know if that is by chance or if the Dems that do go are invited for that sole purpose but that is the way it seems. No wonder a lot of people are tuning out TV networks.
