A Fox News guest suggested black voters have a “slavish” allegiance to the Democratic Party in a Monday appearance on “Fox and Friends.”
“Blacks have shown a slavish support for the Democrat Party (sic) for over 50 years,” said Crystal Wright, editor of the Conservative Black Chick blog. “Part of me wonders if the Republican Party should even bother asking for the black vote because black Americans seem to like being political dummies. There’s—you know, we’re the only race that has voted lock, stock, and barrel for the same party for over 50 years.”
Wright kept up the slavery analogy when describing the 2016 race, saying that Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton “is already owning the black vote.”
In Wright’s estimation, there is only one Republican candidate who identifies with black voters: Donald Trump. Citing his reluctance to “pander to Black Lives Matter” and his spokesperson Katrina Pierson, who is half black, Wright called Trump the only person “bothering to talk to black people about the vote.”
Trump had Black Lives Matter protesters forcibly ejected from several campaign events during the fall of 2015, and even said one black man removed from a Birmingham, Alabama rally “should’ve been roughed up.”
I’m sure that’s an argument it’s going to win them a bigger share of black vote in the upcoming election…

I swear, where do they get these people? The reason black people vote for Democrats is because of the Southern strategy Republicans developed to take advantage of racists in the South who were angry over the Civil Rights act being passed (pushed through by LBJ but with Republican support as well). If Republicans want the black vote, then they need to lose the racism inherent in their policies and discourse, which they pointed out to themselves in 2013! If only they would follow their own demands that people take responsibility for their actions…
