A construction crane has apparently partially collapsed atop a high-rise building in New York City, presumably due to the high winds of the imminent storm Hurricane Sandy, according to various local news outlets including the New York Post. The location of the construction is reportedly at 157 W. 57th St. in Manhattan, or One57, a luxury mixed-use condo/retail space. Twitter has been flooded with images of the dangling crane, including one tweeted by CNN host Piers Morgan. TPM has reached out to One57 for further information on the situation and will update if and when we hear back. In the meantime, here is an image tweeted by Jonathan Wald
