A tsunami warning is in effect for Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Guatemala and Peru after a 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit the coastline of Costa Rica. A tsunami watch is in effect for Chile, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
