Amid mounting sexual assault allegations against him, comedian Bill Cosby spoke briefly with a reporter for the New York Post on Friday.

According to reporter Stacy Brown, when he reached him at his home in Massachusetts, Cosby would not directly address the sexual assault accusations against him.

But he called on African-American journalists not to be biased when covering the allegations.

“Let me say this. I only expect the black media to uphold the standards of excellence in journalism and when you do that you have to go in with a neutral mind,” he told the New York Post.

He also told the Post that his marriage to Camille Cosby is still intact.

“Love and the strength of womanhood,” he said about his marriage. “Let me say it again, love and the strength of womanhood. And, you could reverse it, the strength of womanhood and love.”

After that, he ended the conversation.

“They don’t want me talking to the media,” he said.
