Corey Lewandowski is not out at CNN, the network said Wednesday, despite a report that he’d been suspended over campaign finance filings that show he remained on Donald Trump’s campaign payroll beyond his severance package.

Lewandowski, the former campaign manager for Trump, has received severance payments from the campaign since his firing in June, despite being hired on as a political commentator at CNN shortly afterward.

But the network is denying a report from Mediaite that initially blared a headline of Lewandowski being suspended. The story claims he was pulled this morning from appearances on CNN’s “New Day” because “the network found out that Lewandowski was still being paid by the Trump campaign, separate from his severance package.”

CNN spokeswoman Barbara Levin said in a statement to TPM that Corey is not suspended and will be on the air today.

Mediaite has since changed the headline on its post to “BREAKING: Corey Lewandowski Pulled From Appearing on CNN Morning Show.”
