Mean tweets don’t just bring celebrities down — members of Congress read the insults hurled at them on social media, too.
NowThisNews brought on several members of Congress, including Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), to read Twitter users’ messages. The short video was inspired by a “Jimmy Kimmel Live” segment called “Celebrities Read Mean Tweets.”
“Paul Ryan has such pretty blue eyes, sometimes it’s easy to forget he’s satan incarnate,” the Wisconsin Republican read.
A tweet directed at McCaskill was more decidedly more brusque.
“@clairemc you really suck a pig’s ass,” she read.
