Elizabeth Colbert Busch — the sister of late-night comedy host Stephen Colbert — said in an interview published Saturday that she isn’t worried her brother will overshadow her campaign for Congress.
“I’m not. I’m so proud of what he is and what he has accomplished. But when people see what I have done and they know the work we have done and they know me as a person and a professional, it will be fine,” she told the Associated Press. Meanwhile, Stephen Colbert said he won’t use his platform on “The Colbert Report” to help get his sister elected.
Colbert Busch is running for Congress is South Carolina’s 1st District.
