Stephen Colbert doesn’t see the big deal in photoshopping your way to racial outreach, as long as you’re a Republican trailing in the polls.

Case in point: Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett (R), who recently saw a PR setback in his race against Democrat Tom Wolf.

Buzzfeed reported that a black woman shown chatting with Corbett in a photo on his website was actually a stock image photoshopped into the picture.

On Tuesday’s “Colbert Report,” the host saw it as a plot by the liberal media to ruin Corbett’s attempt at diversity.

“Corbett did this woman a favor!” he argued. “Before he pasted her into his own rainbow coalition, she was over on Shutterstock stuck in a boring meeting with a financial adviser.”

The Corbett campaign justified the move by saying that the photoshopped image represents the candidate’s appeal to all Pennsylvanians.

“See, they’re not pretending black women like him, they’re pretending anyone likes him!” Colbert said.
