The Club For Growth has a new TV ad in Indiana, an issue ad going after Sen. Dick Lugar in his Republican primary. In addition to the Club’s standard issues of lower taxes and spending, the spot also makes reference to the ongoing controversies involving Lugar’s lack of a home in Indiana.

“When Dick Lugar moved to Washington thirty five years ago, the national debt was less than a trillion dollars. Now it’s over 15 trillion,” the announcer says. “What’s Lugar done? He voted for higher gas taxes and Social Security taxes. He voted to bail out Wall Street and Fannie Mae, and opposed Republicans when they tried to stop wasteful spending like the Bridge to Nowhere. Call Dick Lugar, tell him no more tax hikes and no more debt.”

The Republcian primary will be held on May 8.
