Hillary Clinton’s now-viral, near-fainting incident on Sunday that prompted disclosure of her pneumonia diagnosis was due largely to dehydration, possibly from her reported refusal to drink water, according to a new report from Politico.
Clinton’s pneumonia diagnosis took up much of Monday’s news cycle, which was a field day for rampant speculation and conspiracy theories about the Democratic nominee’s health. But per Politico’s reporting, there doesn’t appear to be anything untoward about Clinton’s health save for a reticence to hydrating regularly:
“‘She won’t drink water, and you try telling Hillary Clinton she has to drink water,’ said a person in her orbit—who described a frenzied rehydration mission that included multiple bottles of water and Gatorade.”
On Monday, the Clinton campaign’s communications director, Jennifer Palmieri, tweeted her response to accusations about the campaign’s lack of transparency:
We could have done better yesterday, but it is a fact that public knows more about HRC than any nominee in history. https://t.co/Q50oHK85wQ

The Clinton campaign said on Monday it would release a more detailed medical history of Clinton this week to prove that she has no previously undisclosed conditions. Clinton herself tweeted the following:
Thanks to everyone who’s reached out with well wishes! I’m feeling fine and getting better. -H

Like anyone who’s ever been home sick from work, I’m just anxious to get back out there. See you on the trail soon. -H

She did not comment on her reported dislike of drinking water, however.
This post has been updated.
Ok, this whole HRC health thing has just jumped the shark.
Let’s move on to actual campaign issues, such as Drumpf is a raving lunatic who would destroy the planet.
You know who also had problems with water? LADY MACBETH!!!
Ok. How about gatorade or soft drinks? She needs to hydrate. Maybe her doctor will insist. She will change.
I am confused. The source story says that she was not drinking enough water. It does not say she “hates” doing so. Weird interpretation, TPM.
Soft drinks dehydrate, or so I’ve been told.
